Mark Anderson
Mark Anderson is an architect and designer educated in the U.S. In 1991 he relocated to Milan, establishing his own studio six years later. The interdisciplinary activities of the studio are integrated with Anderson’s own teaching and research. The belief that the disciplines of architecture and design are intellectual, cultural, and economic guides his process. His work and interests concentrate on the interaction between different disciplines, exploring the boundaries in an informative process with particular attention dedicated to critical thinking and new solutions. The studio’s projects range from built architectural and high-end interior design of different scales and complexity (hotels, showrooms, and private residences) to furniture and other domestic objects as well as design research. The interdisciplinary approach allows it to push the boundaries of given methodologies, offering unique solutions.
